- After the initial consultation, if we both feel we can work well together, then we will schedule follow up sessions based on your needs and individualized recommendations for care. My goal is to set you on the path to feeling well and staying well. If treatment with medication is initiated, we will closely monitor medication efficacy and side-effects. Once your symptoms have been adequately managed and treated with medication management, care will continue to be provided through medication checks to ensure ongoing mental wellness.

Consult Our Practitioners In Massachusetts About Your ADHD
There are many different approaches to treating Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and what works best may vary depending on the individual. Some common treatments include medication, behavioral therapy, and educational interventions. Medication is often the first line of treatment for ADHD. Stimulant medications such as methylphenidate (Ritalin) and amphetamines (Adderall) are the most commonly prescribed, and they have been shown to be effective in reducing symptoms in 70-80% of people with ADHD. Non-stimulant medications such as atomoxetine (Strattera) may also be effective, particularly in people who cannot tolerate or do not respond to stimulants.
ADHD is a common neurodevelopmental disorder that affects children and adults. Symptoms include difficulty paying attention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity. ADHD can lead to problems in school, work, and social relationships. There is no single cause of ADHD, but it is believed to be caused by a combination of genetic and environmental factors.

Behavioral therapy is another common treatment for ADHD. It involves working with a therapist to identify and change problematic behaviors. This can be an effective treatment on its own, or it can be used in conjunction with medication.
Educational interventions are also important in treating ADHD. Many people with ADHD struggle in school, so it is important to work with teachers and other school staff to develop an Individualized Education Program (IEP) that meets the child's needs. This might include things like allowing the child to take breaks during class, providing extra time for tests, or giving instructions in a different way.
The most important thing is to work with a professional who can help you figure out what treatment or combination of treatments is best for your ADHD. You can consult our practitioners at Intend Wellness Psychiatry about your ADHD. Contact us today for more information!
